Default My Cat Vomits

Dr. Greg,

My cat vomits from time to time. I feed him kitty grass but still he vomits. How can I treat him to prevent this?

Honorine,
Not a day goes by at the veterinary hospital that a owner brings a cat in for vomiting, or mentions that their cat vomits now and then.
The causes of vomiting in cats can be hairballs or intolerance to the ingredients or type of food they are fed.
Long haired cats or cats that groom frequently may benefit from hairball medicine twice weekly.
Cats fed dry food may get better when wheat is avoided in the food, and wet food is fed instead of dry food. Dry food make be irritating to some cats.
Cats are finicky and it is hard to get them to change their diet, so if they are healthy and happy some clients just accept the accidents.
Canned food or wet food is much healthier than dry food. My cats did vomit for a time after the change but rarely ever vomit now
